Holy cow batman!
That is what my poor animals are screaming. Not long ago we were having severe floods for nearly a month straight. Animals were standing in several feet of sloshy crap...now the extreme opposite. We have had no rain in I dont know when. Everything is dried out now...but we are stepping into the "too dry" area.
Yesterday the temperature was 99 with a heat index of 110! You could just stand outside for a minute and sweat would be pouring off of you. Its very miserable. And I get to come inside to the air conditioning. My poor babies who have to fight for a sliver of shade :(
Our ponds were once running over...now they barely exist. Which is not good for the waterfowl. Its miserable. Not even cloudy days. No rain in sight....just SUN...SUN...and lots of SUN and HEAT! With all the precautions we are taking, we still lost 1 animal to heat stroke. :/
I still have more fence to build...but I think Im goin to hold out and wait for a cloudy day!
