We have decided to take in some unwanted animals. Since we have 57 acres near Sulphur Springs and a love for animals...I have decided to take in unwanted or neglected animals as space allows to give them a good home.
At this time are not taking in any dogs, however I have a couple of sources for placing unwanted dogs. I just do not have proper fenced in area for them and we have had bad juju with strays killing some of our farm animals. I will NOT take snakes either...sorry but they rate high on my EWWIE scale!
However, we have taken in turkeys, geese, ducks, chickens, cows, horses, birds, rabbits, goats, sheep, kittens, turtles, and more. We have rescued a horse that was nothing more than skin and bones. We have rescued a steer calf that was malnourished and his growth was stunted. Both the horse and the calf are healthy and happy now.
We are bringing home a new goat, a couple chickens and a couple new rabbits tomorrow. We opened our home to 2 young slider turtles this week and 2 kittens that needed a home.
We are not a non profit. All the money for feed, vet, shelter, etc comes from our own pockets.
Updates will be posted periodically of the animals.
